Geraldine G. 'Dee" Kaczor, 87, of County Highway 146, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family at her side, on Friday January 27, 2012. Born September 8, 1924 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of George and Lena Sands Stark. She attended Wilbur H. Lynch High School and she was a resident of Amsterdam until moving to Gloversville in 2002. Dee was employed as a crewler for Mohasco Industries in Amsterdam and later she worked for Coleco Industries until retiring a number of years ago. Spending time and traveling with her grandchildren was Dee's passion. She also enjoyed gardening, loved reading romantic novels, as many as three a day, and sunbathing. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. On June 6, 1952 she married Leonard Kaczor who passed away in 2002. Dee is survived by a daughter, Andreea L. Levine of Gloversville; a son Dennis Kaczor Stacey, of Culpeper, VA; two brothers, Richard Stark of Amsterdam and Harold Stark of Fort Mead, FL; two sisters, Florence Kazala and Shirley Skowronek both of Amsterdam; seven grandchildren, Christen Levine, Michaelia Yager Matt, Jade Grace Jack, Michael Kaczor, Carley Kaczor, Anthony Terry and Greg Kaczor; nine great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Dee's request was that there be no funeral service or calling hours. Cremation will take place at Vale Crematorium in Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in Dee's memory to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
