He entered the US Army in January of 1949 and served as a sergeant during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he worked at the former Empire Devices which later became Electro-Metrics. He retired in 1997 as operations manager and was the first recipient of its President's Award. Joe was an avid golfer and a member of Amsterdam Muni for over forty years. He was also a member of the Southside Veterans Association. Joe was most happy spending time with his family and dear friends. On Oct. 17, 1954, he was united in marriage to the former Judith Fitch. In addition to his beloved wife of nearly fifty seven years, he leaves his dear children; Jodie Jerry Muller of Golden Col. , Patrick Connie Greco of Bradenton, Fla., and Jon Beth Greco of Glenville; he was the proud Pop Pop of Dr. Kristin Greco of Chicago, Ill., Patrick Mary Greco of Gainesville, Fla., Jamie Hamilton of Pueblo, Col., Mara and Michael Greco of Glenville and step grandfather of Josh Muller of Golden, Col.; brother in law to Blossom Tambasco of Amsterdam and Rodney Roberta Fitch of Plymouth, Mass.; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins including his best buddy Nick Greco survive. This can be done in care of the funeral home.
