March 15th, 1958 - July 30th, 2011
Joseph E. Benton Sr., age 53, of Canajoharie passed away at home on Saturday July 30, 2011. He was born in Little Falls, NY on March 15, 1958 the son of the late Leroy and Emma Vogel Benton. Joseph enjoyed spending time with his two children. He loved to fish, watch NASCAR and Roseanne. Joseph worked a variety of job during his life. Joseph is survived by his wife: Lisa Lee Benton, two sons: Joseph E. Benton Jr., Brandon M. Benton, a brother: Leroy Benton, a sister: Barbara Benton as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a daughter: Amanda L. Benton and two brothers: Jerry Benton and Robert Benton. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday August 8, 2011 at the People's AME Zion Church, Eats Fulton Street, Gloversville. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.
