Raffale Greco
December 5th, 1917 - June 21st, 2011
Mrs. Raffale Greco, 93 years old of Division Street, died Tuesday at River Ridge Living Center. Mrs. Greco was born December 5, 1917, in Amsterdam, a daughter of Antonio and Carmella Petrosino Ottati and was a life long resident of Amsterdam. She was employed as a glove maker by Fownes Brothers, formerly of Amsterdam, for 30 years. Raffale was then employed by Price Chopper retiring in 1973. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam and the Santa Sofia Society. Raffale married John Greco in 1938. He died February 18, 1987. She is survived by her two brothers: Vito Pat Ottati and James ?Jerry? Tina Ottati, both of Amsterdam, her three sisters: Sophie Picciocca of Amsterdam, Margaret DeRocco of Provincetown, Massachusetts and Jennie Greco of Amsterdam, nieces, nephews and cousins. Raffale was also predeceased by her three sisters: Fannie Ottati, Frances Genatiempo and Grace Foster. Funeral services will be held 8:15 AM Friday at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home , 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, followed at 9:15 am by the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Amsterdam. Burial will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
