Anthony "Sonny" Chirico

Mr. Anthony "Sonny" Chirico, 70, an Amsterdam native, passed away Feb. 17th 2011 in Boca Raton, Florida. Born in Amsterdam on May 11, 1940. He was the son of the late Albert and Margaret Musillo Chirico. Sonny was self employed and was a casino enthusiast. He enjoyed the casinos in Las Vegas, CT, and Atlantic City. Survivors include two daughters, Diana Iadicicco Vincent of Schenectady and Lauren Guy of Florida. One son, Mark Chirico of Florida. Two brothers, John Leona Chirico of Gloversville and Bill Sandy Chirico of Amsterdam; a granddaughter Brittany Levesque of Schenectady, NY. One aunt, Edith Marvin Cohen of Clifton Park; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Raffaela M. Stearns. A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday March 12th, 2011 at 12:15 pm at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, East Main St., Amsterdam. Interment will take place in the spring in the family plot in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Community Hospice of Amsterdam.
