Brenda L. Warner passed away at her home in Gloversville on Friday, January 28, 2011 with her loving family by her side, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for four years. She was born on March 12, 1957 to the late Chauncey and Marilyn Warner. She was last employed at the The Leader Herald until the onset of her illness. Brenda was a loving and caring person who loved spending time with her family. She was lovingly cared for at her home by her family and she will be greatly missed. Survivors include: her two chosen boys, Stephen Sweet and Randy Robar , Jr. who she loved with all her heart; thirteen brothers and sisters, Carol Warner Chris, Marion VanAlstyne Ralph, Gary Warner Cindy, Larry Warner Beth, Vicky VanNostrand Neil, Connie Gage Robert, Pam Warner James, Ronald Warner Fran, Kevin Warner Tanya, Jodie L. Manchester Rick, Connie Jo Warner Bob, Amy Berry and Candy VanNostrand Roy; several nieces and several nephews. Also surviving are her best friend, Florence "Gram" Rickard; her dog Foxy and her cat Beauty. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, January 31 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. R. W. Williams officiating. Interment will take place in the springtime at King Northampton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
