Dorothy V. Green

Dorothy V. Green, 82, of Lower Lepper Road passed away January 11, 2011 at Albany Medical Center. She was born August 26, 1928 in Amsterdam, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Florence Earls Lansing. Dorothy is a life time resident of the area and attended local schools. She is of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching game shows. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Canajoharie. Dorothy was united in marriage to the late Clarence Green, January 10, 1969, their union lasted a beautiful 31 years until his passing on October 23, 2001. She was a home maker in her own home, and was a proud wife and loving mother. Her loving family includes her brother, Gorden Lansing of Amsterdam, sister, Eliza Wells of Ft. Johnson, NY, special niece Linda Robert of Waterford, NY. . Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She also leaves behind her loving dog and friend Poncho. In addition to parents and husband Clarence Green she is predeceased by her son, David Brown. Funeral services will be Monday, January 17, 2011 at 1 PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave. Amsterdam, NY 12010. Friends and family are invited to visit from 12 until 1 PM before the service. Interment will follow at Fairview cemetery.
