Florence C. Vachula

Florence C. Vachula, 89, formerly of Division St. in Amsterdam passed away Wednesday evening at the E.L Wilkinson Nursing Home in Amsterdam. She was born August 29, 1921 in Amsterdam, NY, the daughter of the late John and Anastasia Hinchman Dulczewski. Florence attended local schools and was a life time resident of the Amsterdam area. She was employed by the former Mohawk Carpet Mills, Consolidated Novelty Company. Florence most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and being in her home. Florence also enjoyed visiting the Auriesville Shrine. She is of the Roman Catholic faith and a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. June 29, 1946 Florence was married to the late Stephen Vachula, they shared a beautiful union of 51 years until his passing on January 1, 1997. Her loving family includes her daughter, Elaine Beauchamp and her husband Alex of Amsterdam, NY, grandchildren Thea Beauchamp of Amsterdam, NY, Douglas and Heather Beauchamp of SC, great grandchildren Chloe and Gabrielle Beauchamp as well as her sisters, Frances Rusik both of Amsterdam, NY and Mary Bylina of Florida. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sister Genevieve Rehberg. Funeral Services for Florence will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10 AM at the Betz Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue in Amsterdam. Fr. John Medwid will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Amsterdam. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday October 29, 2010 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association.
