William P. Roantes
March 18th, 1954 - September 17th, 2010
Mr. William P. Roantes, III of Nelliston, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010. He was born March 18, 1954 in Oceanside, NY, son of the late Anthony N. and Ruth Jean Murray Roantes. Mr. Roantes graduated High School in Oceanside and served in the Marine Corps from 1971 to 1973. A long time sports fan, he especially liked baseball. He played Little League as a child and formed an over 40 league later in life. He was a roofer for Titan Roofing in Cohoes, NY. He had worked previously in Maryland. Bill enjoyed building projects and was always helping family and friends. He is survived by his son William Patrick Roantes, IV and his girlfriend Brittany Beall of Edgewater, Maryland, two brothers; Wayne Roantes of Maryland and Scott Brownlee of N. Carolina. He is also survived by three sisters: Vivienne McLoughlin of Caroga Lake, Jeanine Arrunategui of Johnstown and Sharon Shreve of Florida, and his grandson William Patrick Roantes V of Maryland. He was pre-deceased by two brothers; John Roantes and Anthony T. Roantes. There will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St. Gloversville.
