Mr. John R. Frasier, age 84, of Broadalbin, son of the late George Frasier and Lois Roosevelt Frasier, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, following a brief illness. He was born January 12, 1926 in the town of Northampton. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a Process Leader by General Electric Company in Schenectady for many years until his retirement in 1988. He was a lifelong and active member of Perth Bible Church. John was married December 2, 1950 to Freda Whitman who died September 20, 1978. Survivors include: five children, George Frasier of Rome, NY; Sharon Frampton David of Newtown Square, PA; Mary Beth Streifert Rick of Randleman, NC; Susan Frasier of Johnstown and Lois Little Ron of Clifton Park; a sister, Abbie Frasier of Johnstown; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by ten sisters and brothers: Florence Simonds, Susan Danylak, Nellie Grandy, Mildred Sleezer, Mary Frasier, Isabelle White, Jessie Sleezer, Oswald Frasier, Miles Frasier and Alan Frasier. A private graveside service took place at the convenience of the family at Broadalbin Mayfield Rural Cemetery, Broadalbin. Pastor David Frampton, son-in-law of the deceased, officiated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perth Bible Church, 1863 County Highway 107, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd; Loudonville, NY 12211. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, Broadalbin.
