Joshua M. Towne

Joshua M. Towne, age 30, of Gloversville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. He was born on March 23, 1980 in Amsterdam, the son of Mark and Pamela Perrone Towne. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and NASCAR. His favorite sports teams were the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Josh was employed by Kamali Leather Corp. of Johnstown for the past five years. He was of Catholic faith. He is survived by his: parents, Pamela A. Towne Stephen Donbeck of Gloversville and Mark E. Towne of Schoharie; sisters, Abigail A. Gargiulo Michael and Sadie A. Towne of Gloversville; maternal grandparents, Rene and Winifred Perrone of Schoharie; aunts and uncles, Roxanne Schmidt Jorge, Valerie Farrington Mark, William Towne Christina, Susan Dorman, Daniel Towne Margaret, Richard Towne Lori, Dawn Riech, Linda Insogna, Eric Towne Bonnie and David Towne. His pet English Mastiff "Buddy" also survives, as well as many cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Irene Towne. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Church of The Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon with the Very Reverend Donald Czelusniak as celebrant. Interment will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38103. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville.
