March 28th, 1955 - February 4th, 2010
Mr. Efrain "Frank" Carerro, 54 years old, of Jay Street, died Thursday at his home. Frank was born March 28, 1955 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, a son of Juan and Christina Valentin Carrero. He resided in Amsterdam for the past 35 years. He had been employed by the former Coleco Industries. Frank was of the Roman Catholic faith. He enjoyed music and sports and loved family and friends. Frank had a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews and enjoyed attending their school activities and sporting events. He is survived by two brothers: Jose and Louis Carrero of Amsterdam, two sisters: Milagros Carrero and Isabel Torres of Amsterdam, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Frank was predeceased by three brothers: Miguel, Raphael and Carlos Carrero and two nephews: Robert Rodriquez and Juan "Punco" Carrero. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Monday, February 8, 2010, at Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
