Thomas J. Swinarski
May 16th, 1936 - May 6th, 2009
Thomas J. Swinarski, 72, of Kirby Road, passed away early Wednesday morning at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Amsterdam on May 16, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Anna Wojcik Swinarski and a 1954 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. He was the owner of Tom's Gun Shop ion Amsterdam for twenty five years. He moved to Saratoga in 1987 and retired from Niagara Mohawk in 1994. Tom volunteered for nine years for the Arts Council of Saratoga of which he was a charter member. He was also a member of the Kayderosseras Fish And Game Club. He was an avid photographer, his work being exhibited in many regional art galleries. Tom was a member of the Schenectady Photographic Society. He was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, his son Mark Swinarski and a brother, John Swinarski predeceased him. He leaves his son Kenneth Cindy Swinarski of Woodland Park, Colorado; two grandchildren, Joe and Annie Swinarski and cousins. Services are at the convenience of the family from the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Interment will take place in St. Stanislaus' Cemetery. There are no calling hours at Tom's request. Contributions may be made to the Arts Council Of Saratoga in care of the funeral home office.
