Miguel A. Carrero
December 1st, 1942 - April 16th, 2009
Miguel A. Carrero, 67, of Wall St. Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 16th, 2009 at his home. Born in Maricao, Puerto Rico on December 1st, 1941. He was a son of Juan and Cristina Carrero. He grew up in Puerto Rico and came to New York City when he was 18 years old. He later moved to Amsterdam, NY in 1974. While in Amsterdam he was employed at Fiber Glass Industries for over 16 years retiring in 1997. He married Antonia Liquet who passed away in 1985. Miguel is survived by his children, Madelyn Gonzalez, Miguel Carrero Jr., Antonia Tonita-Torres, Israel Carrero-Liquet, Ismael Torres, Ashley Marie Carrero. Grandchildren, Louie M. Gonzalez, Israel Gonzalez, Jasmine Gonzalez, Shenel Rexha, Alesha Carrero, Madelyn Soto, Angel Adorno, Denise Adorno, Ricky Adorno, Annette Adorno, Ismael Torres Jr., Jacqueline Torres and Christian Torres. Brothers and sisters, Isabel Carrero, Milagros Carrero, Jose A. Carrero, Luis M. Carrero, Efrain Carrero and Gloria Carrero. Daughters in law, Julia Torres, Julie Isom. Son in laws, Tony Rexha and Raule Rivera. Dear Friend, Betsy Cole. Several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Miguel was predeceased by two brothers, Rafael Carrero and Carlos Carrero and two nephews, Juan Carero and Robert Rodriguez. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 20th, 2009 at 3:00P.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Cremation will take place in Vale Cemetery Crematorium in Schenectady.
