Irma M. Lindsley

Irma M. Lindsley, 95, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2008. She was born on April 25, 1913 in Mayfield, NY. Irma was the daughter of the late Hiram and Clarissa Newton Lindsley. Irma was a graduate of the Mayfield Central School. She had worked for many years making gloves in the Wilkins Glove Shop. Irma then moved to Tucson, Arizona where she was a housekeeper until her retirement. Ms. Lindsley was of the Presbyterian Faith. Survivors include her nieces Audrey Canary Donald of Gloversville and Carmel Young of Clarissa, Minnesota; three great nieces Lisa Harvey Bob Evelyn Sheridan Mike and Susan Adamkoski Joe; five great nephews Mark Damin, Alan Damin Karen, Glen Damin Mary, John Canary Kathy, and Charlie Canary Karen. Irma was preceded in death by two sisters Bessie Reed and Beulah Frederick; a niece June Reed Damin and her husband Peter Damin, and three nephews Duane, Clayton, and Richard Reed. There will be a graveside service on Saturday November 22, 2008 at 11:00 a. m. with the Reverend Jason Damin officiating. Interment will take place at Union Rural Cemetery in Mayfield, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont St.; Gloversville. Memorial contributions in Irma's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
