Matthew C. LaVoie, 16, of Van Epps Road, Fultonville, died Wednesday October 29, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Born on August 3, 1992 in Gloversville, he was the son of Kenneth and Laurie Rose LaVoie. A lifelong area resident, Matthew was a 10th grade student at Fonda- Fultonville Central School. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed go cart racing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Michael LaVoie of Fonda; two sisters, Samantha LaVoie of Charleston and Katie LaVoie his twin sister at home; his aunts and uncles, Linda and Jim Cleary of Northville, Jack and Peggy LaVoie of Tribes Hill, Jim and Kate Reynolds of Fonda, Benny and Carol Rose of Glen, Gwen Hutchins of Fonda, Joey Rose of Fonda, Peggy Carpenter of Johnstown, Pamela and Dan Manchester of Glen; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service of Remembrance on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 1 o'clock at the Auditorium of the Fonda- Fultonville Central School, Cemetery Street, Fonda, with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville.
