Mr. Wayne A. Passero, age 51 of Cohoes, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. He was born September 10, 1957 in Amsterdam, the son of the late Richard and Sylvia Bates Passero. He was employed by Arrow Leather Corp. of Johnstown until he became disabled. Wayne is survived by two children: Dawn Mellis-Passero of Scotia and Christopher M. Bishop of Mayfield; nine brothers and sisters: Sherry Cagwin of NC; Richard Passero of Johnstown, Dixie Davis of Broadalbin, John Passero of Fort Hunter, Crystal King of Johnstown, Tina Brownell of Mayfield, Garth Passero of Mayfield, Daniel Passero of Saratoga County and Becky Schultz of Mayfield; 3 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville. Cremation will follow at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd; Loudonville, NY 12211 or to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205.
