Christopher J. Borden, 36, of Priscilla Court, Howe Caves, NY, died early Saturday morning July 26, 2008 at home with his loving family at his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Amsterdam, NY on August 17, 1971 a son of William P. Borden and Victoria L. Snyder. He was raised in Fultonville, NY and attended Fonda-Fultonville High School. He later went on to Culinary School in Lakeland Florida and became a Chef. He moved to North Carolina in 2005 and worked for over 3 ½ years at the Sage Bush Steakhouse in Monroe, North Carolina where he worked as the Kitchen Manager before being forced to stop work due to his illness. Christopher was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed playing golf as a hobby and playing baseball with his children. He was a good father and lived his life entirely for them. He is survived by his parents, William P. Borden of Sharon Springs, NY and Victoria L. Snyder of Howes Cave, NY. His former wife and best friend, Shannon Borden of North Carolina. Two sons, Codey M. Borden and Dustin Vosburgh of North Carolina. One brother, Robert Borden Jessica of Sharon Springs, NY. One niece, Erin M. Borden of Sharon Springs, NY. Aunts, Uncles, and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 29, 2008 at 11:00A.M. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY. Interment will be in Slate Hill Cemetery, Sharon, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday morning beginning at 10:00A.M. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
