Jeanette Cecilia Wilson, 48, of Center Street, Amsterdam, died December 31, 2007 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born on June 13, 1959 she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Mabel Tretola Smith. Jeanette was a homemaker and a nurse, working in several capacities throughout her life. She was married to Lawrence Jerome Wilson who died in 1988. Jeanette was a lifelong area resident, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her loving family includes, her sons, Jerome Smith of St. Cloud, FL and Mark Anthony Smith of Amsterdam, NY; one daughter, Tanya Smith of Albany, NY; two sisters, Victoria Smith of Scotia, NY and Connie Junior Octavia of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six grandchildren, Desiree, Destinee, Marcel, Jeliani, Markeez, and Antonio. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 3p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. A calling period will begin at 1pm until prior to the service.
