Josephine M. Ryczek, 73, of Shuttleworth Ave., Hagaman, NY passed away Wednesday November 14, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam with her family at her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 10, 1934 a daughter of August and Ann Levandosky Hazzard. She was a lifelong resident of the Amsterdam and Hagaman area and was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam. Josephine worked for over 22 years at the service desk at the former K-Mart store on Route 30 in Amsterdam. She was a communicant of St. Stephen?s Roman Catholic Church in Hagaman, NY. Josephine had a profound love for all animals. She is survived by her best friend, companion, caregiver and Aunt, Bernice Schotts of Amsterdam. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and god children also survive. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 17, 2007 at 10:15A.M. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00A.M. at St. Stephen?s Roman Catholic Church, Pawling St., Hagaman with Father Ronald Matulewicz as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Stephen?s Cemetery, Hagaman, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday November 16, 2007 from 5:00 ? 7:00P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
