Brad C. Groves

Brad C. Groves, 33, of Amsterdam died peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Albany Medical Center. Born in Amsterdam, NY on August 1, 1984 he was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. A lifelong area resident, Brad attended city schools. Brad was employed as a chef for the former Crystal Ristorante and most recently, La Cucina de Centi. Brad enjoyed hunting, fishing and karate. He was devoted to this family, especially his children. He will be remembered for his jokes, laughter, smile and ability to make friends with anyone. Brad will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his life partner, Kristie M. Centi; his two sons, Mason and Marko; his parents, Edward and Barbara (Schotts) Hume; siblings, Gary (LeeAnn) Groves, Tammie, Mary, Eddie and Earl; his extended family, The Centi's: Carol and Anthony, Gabriel and Kacy, Anthony Jr., Chris and Melissa Riccio; and Mrs. Theresa Centi. Funeral Services with Holy Eucharist will be celebrated on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 1p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 42 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. William T. Hodgetts Jr. officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours prior to the service, beginning at 11.am. at the church. Burial will take place privately in the Hagaman Mills Cemetery.
