Charles K. Saul
August 23rd, 1933 - February 17th, 2007
Charles K. Saul Sr., 73, of McNeir Avenue, passed away Saturday afternoon at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born on August 23, 1933 in Alexandria, VA he was the son of the late Amil and Edith Emmons Saul. He moved to Amsterdam with his family when he was 13; and graduated for Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1954. After graduation, Charles enlisted in the United States Army, serving until his honorable discharge in July, of 1962. Charles worked for nearly 30 year for General Electric. He was a lifelong member, of the Galway Fish & game Club, as well as the John J. Wyzomirski American Legion, Post 701. He also at a time was very active with the Boy Scout Troop 26. He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Wojick, whom he married on November 22, 1956; three sons, Charles K. Pam Saul Jr. of the Town of Florida, Edward E. Barbara Saul of Gloversville, and William J. Kathy Saul of Amsterdam; one sister Edith Hichens of Johnstown; and several nieces, nephews and cousin. A Legacy Candle Ceremony will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 5p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. A calling hour will precede the service from 4 until 5. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County S.P.C.A. in care of the funeral home.
