Gloversville, NY-Mrs. Hannah Alexander, age 93, of North Main St., entered into eternal rest peacefully on Thursday afternoon, December 8, 2016 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. She was born on March 29, 1923 in Gloversville, daughter of the late Zacour and Jameely Abraham and educated in Gloversville schools. Hannah spent her life taking care of her home and family. She lived at one time in Washington D.C. and North Carolina before returning to Gloversville in 2000. Survivors include her nephews and nieces, Eddy G. Abraham of Gloversville, Naif Abraham and wife Mary of Liverpool, Cheryl Abraham of Gloversville and Edward Kamouh of Pittsburgh, PA; many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Alexander and a brother, Naif Abraham, Sr. The family will receive relatives and friends at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville (725-1121) from 12 noon until 1 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016. The funeral will commence at the conclusion (1 pm) of visitation on Tuesday at the funeral home with The Most Rev. Norman Strauss, officiating. Procession will follow to Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville where she will be laid to rest. Kindly consider memorial offerings to Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville.
