Anthony Andrew Kovach
May 18th, 1942 - May 17th, 2016
Anthony (Tony) Kovach, of Aurora, passed away May 17, 2016. He was 73. Tony was born May 18, 1942 in Endicott, New York and grew up in Colorado. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1966. After his discharge from the Army, Tony became a civil servant at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora as a Registered Nurse. He was passionate about his work in Pediatrics and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit until his retirement in June 1996. Not ready to sit home and live the †œretired life†�, Tony enjoyed working at Presbyterian/St. Luke†™s Hospital as an operating room tech in the Sterilization Department until his official retirement. Tony truly loved life. Whether traveling to new places or working in his yard, he embraced the experience. He had a wry sense of humor and his laugh was contagious. He is survived by his children, Dana, Debra (Adam), Dan, and Melinda (Doug); grandchildren, Raymond ( Andrea ), Sarah (Jason), Matthew, Christina, Jacob, Cassondra, Derek, and Doug Jr.; great-grandchildren; Tanner, Braydon, Sienna and Kylie. He was preceded in death by grandson Andrew. Services will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 E. Kentucky, Ave, Aurora, Colorado. Interment to follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Tony†™s memory to Queen of Peace Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
