Andrew B. Robinson
March 3rd, 1920 - November 14th, 2006
Mr. Andrew B. Robinson, 86 years old of Randall, died Tuesday at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. He was born March 3, 1920 in Windom, NY, a son of Burton and Etta Young Robinson. Mr. Robinson had resided in the Randall area for the past 45 years. He was employed as a tractor trailer operator for Lane Construction Co. for 25 years retiring in 1982. Mr. Robinson and his wife owned and operated the former Randall Trailer Sales and they had helped to manage the Former Mohawk Valley Estates in Randall where they resided. He and his wife also delivered The Recorder. Mr. Robinson had attended the Randall Reformed Church and most recently the Fonda Reformed Church. He was a Member of the Rural Grove Volunteer Fire Dept. and helped to build the Station 2 Fire House in Randall. On September 7, 1956, he married the former Aletha Persons who survives. Mr. Robinson is also survived by his son William A. Robinson, Sr. of Randall and three grandchildren; Lynan Robinson, William A. Robinson, Jr. and Gerry Robinson. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday at Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, with The Rev. Christopher J. DeGraff officiating. Burial is in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4 until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made: Mid-County Volunteer Ambulance Corps or to the Rural Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
