Memorial

Lois Jacobs has gone to be with her heavenly father. She was born in Denver on Oct. 28, 1951, and went home June 9, 2016. She is survived by her husband Jim, son Rob Sommars, daughter Jani (Mike) Judson, son Jim (Jeanette) Jacobs, 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister Mary (Steve Steinke) Krentz, brother Daniel Krentz and nephew Nick Steinke. She lived in the Denver area her entire life and graduated Denver Lutheran High School in 1969. She always took joy in the fact her father was a co-founder of Lutheran High. She earned a bachelor's degree at Metro State University. She spent her life helping others and working in the social services field, where she was a supervisor and program director at the county and state levels. Lois loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a friend to everyone she met. She loved her many dogs, who always waited for her attention and arranged their daily routines around her. She will always be remembered for her warm smile, positive attitude and caring for others -- and of course Starbucks. She was very deeply loved by her family and friends. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 5675 Field Street in Arvada.
