Christopher Patrick Allen

Christopher Patrick Allen, 43, of Arnold Avenue, passed away Friday evening at St. Mary?s Hospital. Born in Amsterdam on August 12, 1962, he was the son of Richard M. Allen and Mary Jayne Vergona Allen. Chris was a 1980 graduate of Amsterdam High School and later Fulton Montgomery Community College. He then began a career with The Grand Union Grocery Stores where he worked as a manager. For the past three years, he was employed by the Roy G. Biv Industries as a sales and marketing representative. Chris loved sports his entire life, and was an avid golf and tennis player. He was a number 1 Giants fan and contributed articles on the web site. He was a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Chris was married to the former Janice Ryan. His loving family includes his mother, Mary Jayne Allen of Amsterdam; his brother, John R. Allen of Loudonville; his father, Richard M. Allen of Tampa, Fla.; and several aunts and cousins. Services are at the convenience of the family at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Interment is in St. Michael?s Cemetery. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Montgomery Co. SPCA in care of the funeral home.
