Theresa Clemente Gardiner

Mrs. Theresa ?Tessie? Clemente Gardiner, age 99, died Friday, December 9, 2005 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville, NY. A lifelong Gloversville resident, Terrie was born September 25, 1906 in Saratoga Springs, NY, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Angelina Etes Clemente. Educated in Gloversville schools, she was employed by several leather glove making facilities in the area, and retired from Claire Glove Company in 1979. She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Gloversville. Terrie was married April 11, 1924 to Charles Gardiner who died September 23, 1954. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Catanzaro of Gloversville; three brothers, Roy Giuliano and Frank Clemente of Gloversville, and the Rev. Michael Clemente of Schenectady; four sisters, Mildred Brossoie of Gloversville, Mary Aufiero of Ballston Spa, Theresa Cleveland of Chapel Hill, NC and Esther Clemons of Glenville; two grandchildren, Carol Wintermute and Charles Catanzaro; four great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Terrie was preceded in death by four brothers, Salvatore Clemente, Joseph Clemente , Angelo Clemente and Albert Clemente. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a prayer service will be held 10:00 am Monday with the Rev. Michael D. Clemente, brother of the deceased officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Research Hospital, P.O.
