Dr. Charles W. Saum

Saum, Reverend Dr. Charles W., November 2, 2005. Born on March 10, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY to Leo and Helen Clark Saum. He was predeceased by his sisters Elizabeth and Patricia. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Lee Morgan Saum, son Andrew Carol, daughter Rebecca Beerwald Bob Andreozzi, granddaughter Megan Saum Pinckney Chris, sister Dorothy Knox, nieces and nephews. Charles studied at Columbia College at Columbia University. He earned his Masters of Divinity at Union Theological Seminary in NYC and his Doctor of Ministry at Drew University in NJ. During his 44 year career in the ministry Charles was pastor at United Methodist churches in Vermont and Upstate New York. He and Betty moved to Prestwick Chase in Saratoga Springs in 1999. A pair of memorial services celebrating his life will be held. The first will take place on Monday, November 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church, 175 Fifth Avenue. The second service will be on Tuesday, November 15th at 2 p.m. at Prestwick Chase, 100 Saratoga Blvd., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. 518-584-7766.
