Dorothy M. Miller, 73, of McKay Rd. passed away Tuesday evening at Albany Medical Center with her family at her side. Born in Perth where she resided her entire life, on July 21, 1932, the daughter of John and Hazel Kinnen Hemstreet. Educated in Perth schools, she was employed in the payroll office of Montco, later Willow Glen. She retired from Ward Products. Dorothy was an avid gardener, and care giver for family and friends. An animal lover, she rescued several dogs, and nursed them to health. She was a member of the Golf Course Road United Methodist Church. On January 20, 1951, she was united in marriage to Edward J. Miller. That union lasted until his passing on January 23 of this year. Her loving family includes her children: Linda J. and her husband David Scott of Perth, Patricia A. and her husband Richard Byrnes of Bradenton, Fla., Cheryl L. and her husband Kevin Love of Tribes Hill, Tracey L. Crosby of Perth and Scott E. Miller of Perth; her brother, Harold and his wife Harriet Hemstreet of Perth; sisters Norma Beldon of Gloversville, Shirley and her husband Gary Davenpeck of Johnstown and Mildred Bramer of Amsterdam; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are Saturday at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Interment is in Perth Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 73 No. Main Street, Gloversville, NY 12078. Dorothy had been grateful to them for the care her beloved husband received.
