Mary Cristiano Lindsay

Mrs. Mary Cristiano Lindsay, 90 of S. Kingsboro Ave; Gloversville, died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam. She was born August 14, 1915 in Gloversville, one of eight children of the late Leonzo and Rosa Cristiano. Educated in Gloversville schools, Mary was employed as a glove maker at the former Balzano Glove Company in Gloversville. She later became secretary for Lindsay Water Wells for many years. She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Gloversville. Mary was married on May 10, 1964 to Frank R. Lindsay who survives. Additional survivors include a son, Thomas A. Neapolitan and his wife Liz of Boulder, CO; a grandson, Christopher L. Neapolitan of Gloversville; a brother, John Cristiano of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Neapolitan; a son, John S. Neapolitan; four brothers, Anthony, Joseph, Frank and Thomas Cristiano; and two sisters, Ursula Tascillo and Flora Cataffo. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday, August 29, 2005 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a prayer service will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 AM with the Very Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Entombment will take place in the family mausoleum at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary´s Hospital, 427 Guy Park Ave; Amsterdam, NY 12010.
