Melissa M. Darrow, 35, of Argersinger Road in Glen, died Wednesday, July 27 in a construction accident in Goshen, Connecticut. She was born July 21, 1970 in Amsterdam, a daughter of Douglas E. and Joyce Kretser Darrow. She was a 1987 graduate of Fonda-Fultonville Central School and attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College. She worked for the past nine years as a roller operator for The Cady Co. Inc., of Amsterdam, and was a life-long resident of Glen. She was a member of the Fultonville VFW Post 562 Ladies Auxiliary. Ms. Darrow is survived by two sons, Joshua and Michael Darrow, and her daughter Jessica Williamson, all of Glen. She also leaves behind her parents, a brother Joseph Darrow and his wife Jodi of Ocala, Florida, and a sister Marianne Suchocki and her husband Vic of Tribes Hill, as well as her nephew Mason and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 30 at 11 a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, with the Rev. Kenneth Dingman officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Avenue Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Joyce A. Darrow for a fund to benefit Melissa?s children.
