Arthur S. Layman, 73, of Palatine Bridge, NY, has passed away on Saturday October 8th, 2016. Born on September 14th, 1943 in Cobleskill NY, he was the son of the late Winifred C. Grahm. Arthur attended local school and was employed as a taxi cab driver for many years. He spent some time driving for Glove City Taxi in Gloversville NY. Arthur is survived by his wife Charlotte Layman; his daughter Betsy (Thomas Sr.) Houghton; his grandchildren, Carl Gray, Margaret David, Nicole David, Catherine David, Everett David, Thomas (Alyssa) Houghton Jr., Kevin Houghton, Brandon Houghton, and Arthur Houghton; his great grandchildren, Anthony Michael Houghton, Kevin Reddiough, Daniel Young, Brandon Young, Annabelle Smith, and little baby Zachary Houghton on the way. Nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Arthur is predeceased by his mother Winifred. Funeral arrangements for Arthur have been entrusted to the care of Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
