David E Ranker

RANKER, DAVID EDWARD 5/27/1948-11/09/2016 68, transitioned from his earth bound body November 09, 2016. He is preceded in death by his father Richard Ranker, mother Dorothy (Lowitzer/Ranker) Butcheri, second father Allen Butcheri, sister Diane (Ranker) Murowsky, brother Doug Ranker, and sister-in-law Sue Farrell-Ranker. He is survived by his wife Crystal (Clegg) Ranker, brother Richard †œDick†� Ranker, sister-in-law Karen Ranker, many beloved nieces/nephews/cousins/in-laws, and his cat Cotton Ranker. Dave was born in Ohio, went to college in Iowa, and moved to Colorado in 1973. Dave graduated from Iowa State University in 1971 with a degree in Construction Engineering. After his first job he realized Engineers had to get up too early…. so ended participation in his chosen field, although he did use his knowledge and skills many years later to build a home with his wife Crystal. Dave has had many entrepreneurial businesses; Fresh Lemonade stand at Carnivals, Rocking Originals, Property Owner, Booking Bands throughout Colorado, Gart Brother†™s Sporting Goods Camera Department, Umpire/Referee for High School Sports, Web site Design, and QB Denver where he served many in starting and/or succeeding in their business. Dave was the †œMoney Man†�! Dave never met a stranger; he lived and loved life to the fullest. Dave loved adventure and has traveled to many parts of the world, was passionate about gardening/design, never missed a party or a chance to spend time with family or friends. All will remember Dave as happy, fun, a listening ear willing to offer heartfelt advice. Dave was a presence on Earth never to be forgotten by those who knew him. No question, Dave is having a Meyer†™s Rum & Coke in celebration of his life and all that joined him on his journey.
