Valerie J. Berinati

Mrs. Valerie Bernati, 93, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 19, 1924 to the late Charles and Helen Winkel, she attended Saint Stanislaus School, and later married Vincent Berinati. Valerie worked at the Montgomery County Infirmary for 25 years, holding numerous titles throughout her time there. She also worked as a Private Duty Home Health Aide. She moved to Florida to be closer to her daughter, where she lived for twelve years before her passing. She loved playing Bingo and shopping. Valerie is survived by her devoted daughter, Vanessa (Richard) Banta of Amsterdam, NY, as well as several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Vincent, her parents Charles and Helen Winkel, and her eight siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service in memory of Valerie at Saint Michael’s Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY on Tuesday June 11, at 11:00 in the morning with Fr. O.
