Elmyra J. Estelle

Mrs. Elmyra J. Estelle, 88, of Amsterdam, NY, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on July 24, 2019 at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 16, 1930 to Angelo and Maude (Jones) Greco. Elmyra worked at Ellis Hospital, and Bellevue Hospital as a cook Ellie enjoyed cooking, making many holiday dinners for her family, shopping, and collecting hats. Elmyra is survived by her sons, Floyd Clemens of Amsterdam, and Scott Clemens of Colonie; her daughters, Donna Simone and Sharon Manning, both of Rotterdam, and Geraldine Swider of Amsterdam as well as her special son-in-law, Leo Swider of Amsterdam. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michael (Monica) Manning, Rebecca Swider, Christina Spraker, Laura (Kyle) Schuttenberg, Katerina (Christopher) Gaylord, Christopher Clemens, Jessica (James) Tiso, Matthew Clemens, and Rachel (Ricky) Naze; as well as her five great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Kimberly J. Clemens; her brothers, Joseph Aiken, Frank Greco, and Donald Greco; and her sisters, Nellie Colburn, Muriel Weaver, Sally Rogers, and her beloved brother in law Jack Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 4:00 in the afternoon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY, with Rev. Kent McHeard presiding. Interment will take place at a later date, in the family plot at Maple Avenue Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on July 27, 2019 from 2pm until 4pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home.
