Charleen Rae Stade Sept. 6, 1939-Jan. 9, 2016 Age: 76 Residence: Greeley Charleen passed away Jan. 9, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 6, 1939, in Fairmount, Minn., to Earl and Rachel Ziemer. She married Rollo Stade on Sept. 28, 1957, in Fairmount. Married for 58 years, Rollo and Charleen raised five children: Steven, David, Trevor, Brenda and Shane. In 1973, they moved to Greeley because of their love for the Rocky Mountains. Charleen worked as a certified nurse’s aide for many years at different facilities in Greeley, retiring as a unit secretary from North Colorado Medical Center. After retirement, Rollo and Charleen moved to Las Vegas for five years before moving back to Greeley to be close to their grandchildren. Charleen loved garage sales, watching the Broncos, camping, eBay, vacationing in Mexico, and her cats, Lucky and Sammy. Charleen also enjoyed trips to Germany, Austria and Poland. Not only a mother to her five children, Charleen was "Mom” to many, including her unofficial adopted son, Mike Prescott. Her home was always open and through the years, her couch was never empty. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter, Charly Ray. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at Northern Colorado Crematory, 700 8th St., Greeley. A reception to follow service at Steven and Sonja’s home.
