Venus Ann C. Hirschfeld, 63, of Amsterdam passed away November 14, 2019 with her loving family by her side in North Carolina. Born in Amsterdam NY, on January 20, 1956 she was the daughter of the late Louis and Marlene (Flesh) Hirschfeld. She is survived by her loving son Daryl Travis M. Hirschfeld of Amsterdam, three sisters Wanda (TW) Holt of Amsterdam, Yvonne (Israel) Toro of Amsterdam, and Norma Margo of Rhode Island. Venus is also survived by her loving aunt Norma Stanley of North Carolina, also by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides her parent Venus is predeceased by her grandmother Norma R. Stark. During her lifetime Venus had a great joy for wildlife, gardening, and crafting. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed spending quality time with her loving family. Relatives and Friends are invited and may call at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 on Sunday November 24, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM. A Funeral Service with take place at the funeral home on Monday November 25, 2019 at 11 AM with Fr. O. Robert DeMartinis. Burial will follow in the family plot of St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Johnson. In lieu of flowers contributions in Venus’s memory can be made to Catholic Charities of Fulton & Montgomery Counties, 1 Kimball Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
