Marilyn Stager Anderson, 89, of Ithaca, NY, formerly of Rotterdam, NY, passed away on Thursday April 16, 2020 in Ithaca, NY, following a brief illness. Marilyn was born on December 29, 1930 in Amsterdam, NY, a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Stager of Amsterdam, NY. She was a resident of Rotterdam, NY most of her life until 2011 when she moved to Ithaca. She was a master gardener, wonderful homemaker, and volunteer for many organizations in Schenectady, NY. She and Robert J. Anderson were married for 59 years before Robert’s passing on June 10, 2009. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Anderson) Davis of Ithaca, NY; her son, James R. Anderson and wife, Traci of Richmond, VA; her grandson, Brent Davis and wife, Bridget, her granddaughter Saralin Davis and fiancé, John Yamauchi, her granddaughter, Evan Anderson; as well as her two great-grandchildren, Anders Davis and Giuliana Yamauchi. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Amsterdam.
