David M. Waver

Mr. David M. Waver, 74, of Amsterdam, New York, passed away on June 1, 2021 at Nassau University Medical Center. Born on November 13, 1946 to the late Arthur and Madie Waver, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Syracuse University. For 28 years, David worked for the state of New York in the Office of Higher Education. David was a member of the Amsterdam Lodge No. 84. Masonic Temple, and also a member of the Amsterdam Elks Lodge #101 for many years. In his free time, David loved to read. He was also an avid fan of Star Trek and the New York Yankees. David’s loving family includes his sister Cynthia Waver, and his nephew Floyd (Kimberly) Waver. Aside from his parents, Arthur and Madie, he is preceded in death by a step-brother, Gerald Arthur Waver. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 5 o’clock in the afternoon until 7 o’clock in the evening at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, New York.
