October 16th, 1956 - January 15th, 2022
Sharon A. LaFountain, 65, of the town of Perth, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 15, 2022 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. She was born on October 16, 1956, a daughter of the late Theodore and Ida Miller Czarnecki. She was a resident of Schenectady and attended local schools. Sharon was employed for a time as Vice Secretary of the Captain at the Schenectady Police Department before retirement. She enjoyed taking care of her many pets and loved all animals. She also enjoyed being in her garden and the outdoors. Survivors include her finace’ , Gregory Cabral of Perth, NY. Her children, April R. LaFountain of Rotterdam, NY, George H. LaFountain III of St. Regis, NY, Chrystia M. LaFountain of Gloversville, NY., and Zachariah D. LaFountain of Rotterdam, NY. One brother, Garry R. Czarnecki of Scotia, NY. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her first husband, George H. LaFountain II in August of 2012. There are no services scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
