Judith M. Higgins

Ms. Judith M. Higgins, 76, of Watervliet, NY passed away suddenly on Friday, February 11, 2022. Born in Amsterdam, New York on May 20, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Amelia Knapp Higgins. A lifelong area resident, Judy attended local schools and later went on to receive her Associates degree. For over 40 years she was employed by the Civil Service Department of New York State. She was a member of the International Toastmistress Club and the National Business and Professional Women’s Club. Judy was an avid supporter of many organizations throughout her life time. She was always willing to help someone in need. Judy was also an avid fan of Star Trek, WWE, Monster Trucks and James Garner. She loved a good cup of coffee and always was kind and generous. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her three sisters, Sherril A. Wilbert Higgins Lew, Nancy K. Kosinski and Vicki L. Betz; nieces and nephews, Jessica Betz, Jason Betz and his wife Andrea, Travis Lew and Trey Kosinski; one great niece and great nephew; and many friends. A private Graveside Service was held in Honor of Judy’s memory at Fairview Cemetery with a Butterfly release ceremony.
