Stanley "Steve" L. Sidlauskas
May 30th, 1946 - January 2nd, 2023
Mr. Stanley L. “Steve” Sidlauskas, 76, of Amsterdam, passed away on Monday January 2, 2023 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Amsterdam on May 30, 1946 a son of the late Stanley P. and Edna Krolikowski Sidlauskas. He was a lifelong resident and was a 1964 graduate of St. Mary's Institute in Amsterdam. Stanley was employed as a Truck Driver for over 20 years for Adirondack Septic in Amsterdam. He also worked on his family farm for many years. He enjoyed farming, gardening and building things. In the years following his retirement he enjoyed working on the farm and spending time with his brothers, sons and wife. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith. Steve married Carol A. Laird on June 24, 1978. In addition to his loving wife Carol he is survived by his two sons, Brian J and (Kristel) Sidlauskas of Glenville, NY and Stephan P. and (Kristin) Sidlauskas of Glen, NY. Four cherished grandchildren, Susan and Reed Sidlauskas and Owen and Olivia Sidlauskas. Two brothers, George and Peter Sidlauskas of Amsterdam, one sister, Patricia Zanella of Santa Ana, CA. Niece, Danielle Ehrler and nephew, George Sidlauskas. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 14, 2022 at 2:00PM at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday prior to the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Please leave condolences online at www.brbsfuneral.com.
