Sharon Hutton died September 9, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY Sharon was born March 27, 1946, in Rome, New York, the daughter of Harold and Irene Stempski Hutton. She loved accessories, especially hats. She had many interests including watching TV, listening to music, coloring, shopping, and looking at family photos and magazines. Sharon especially loved Mickey and Minnie Mouse! The staff at Glen House, a residential group home in Fultonville, seemed to enjoy Sharon’s feistiness. Sharon’s other siblings are Kitty Cross, Oklahoma; Koki Filipczuk, Missouri, Linda Barney, Potsdam; Terry Moore, Ilion, and Ken Hutton, Farmington. Please leave condolences online at www.brbsfuneral.com Reflections from her Liberty Family: As Sharon Hutton has passed away, I would like to take a few minutes to share some things about her. First, she was an amazing woman and the strongest women I have ever known. This girl was a fighter ‘til the day she laid to rest. Many people who had the pleasure to work with her absolutely loved her. She had the best smile and the she was the most energetic women I’ve known. Sharon would yell at and speak her mind to anyone and anything and that’s exactly what I loved most about her. Some days I would come in to find her in other peoples beds sleeping or crawling around, sometimes I would see her on the floor and she would just sit there and hug me and kiss my hand and tell me she loved me it made my day every time it happened. She enjoyed relaxing in her comfortable pajamas and sweat pants the most, and of course her Minnie Mouse shirts. She absolutely loved her Minnie Mouse stuffed animals as well she wound hug it and kiss it. It was the best thing to watch. She would call her brother Kenny and talk to him on the phone, she absolutely loved doing that. Sharon’s was sometimes talkative and sometimes very quiet, but even when quiet, we knew what she was thinking and needing. She was the absolute best person to be around and I am so thankful to have had the pleasure of supporting and caring for her. Sharon will be forever in my heart and her memory will forever live on. Her fight is over and she is now in a better place now is at peace. We loved her and will always love her.
