Adrian F. Scantlebury passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2024. He was born in Glens Falls, NY and spent a large part of his childhood in Lake Pleasant, NY. His devoted partner, family, and a multitude of friends are devastated by this huge loss. He is pre-deceased by his parents and two brothers, and survived by his longtime partner, two brothers and a sister, an aunt and an uncle, daughters Stephanie (Terry) Forsyth and Andrea Scantlebury, and several nieces. Adrian lived a full and rewarding life, making lasting impacts in both his personal and professional life. He was a loving partner, father, brother, and uncle, a skilled tradesman, a gifted carpenter, a lifelong horse lover and trainer, a generous and loyal friend, and a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, the Adirondack mountains and the lifelong friendships he developed there. He will be forever missed and always remembered. Visitation will be held at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger, & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY between the hours of 1:00 and 2:30 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department, 126 S Pawling St, Hagaman, NY 12086; Lake Valley EMS, 24 Gardner Pl., Amsterdam, NY 12010; or Old Friends at Cabin Creek www.oldfriendsatcabincreek.com (Dignified Retirement for Thoroughbred Racehorses in Greenfield Center, NY).
