Richard P. Collins

Richard P. Collins, 53, of Palatine Bridge, NY died peacefully surrounded by his family at home following a brief illness. Born in Amsterdam, NY he was the son of Richard Collins and Jane Horning- Davis. A lifelong area resident, Rich was a 1985 graduate of Canajoharie High School. He was the proprietor of AC Contracting and spent time in South Carolina and New York. He was a member of the Canajoharie Moose Lodge and enjoyed being outdoors. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his nephew, Dustin K. Watson in 2009. Survivors include his mother, Jane Davis and her husband Willard “Doc” and his father, Richard “Dickie” Collins and his wife Nora; his sister, Polly Collins- Logan and her fiancé, Jason Tamsett; his step-brother, Willard “Jeff” Davis and his wife Veronica; a niece, Shyanna Logan; two nephews, Colin and Landon Davis; his girlfriend, Wendy Yacowenia; his beloved dog, Princess; his best friend, John Young “Ogy”; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the care of Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie.
