Jeannie C. Barr

Mrs. Jeannie C. Barr, age 38, of Gloversville, passed away suddenly on Sunday September 1, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Amsterdam. She was born September 13, 1980 in Amsterdam, the daughter of Ronald Pepper, Sr. and Vivian Pass Wagner. She was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at the former Getman Home in Gloversville for several years. She was a fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed crafting and spending time with her grandkids and family. Jeannie will be remembered most of all for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all. Jeannie is survived by her husband Michael S. Barr, Sr., their 9 children; Patti Barr (John), Michael Barr, Jr. (Son), Shanya Cohn (Jeulian), Jeremiah Cohn, Jr. (Kirsten) Andrew Barr, Kariona Cohn, Ariona Barr, Dakota Cohn and Breeanna Cohn, 3 grandchildren; Charlotte Hoogeveen, Cora Hoogeveen and Bently Grey, her mother Vivian Wagner (Carroll, Jr.), her father Ronald Pepper, Sr. (Amy), an aunt Donna Lapan, her mother in-law Lillian Barr, her 5 siblings; Tina Walters (Frank), Gregory Pass (Danielle), Ronald Pepper, Jr. (Tupou Niko), Jessica Wagner (Chris), Carroll Wagner, III (Margaret), two cousins; Marie Sanford (Bob) and Ronnie Lapan, Jr. along with several other cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Jeannie was predeceased by an uncle Ronnie Lapan Sr; several grandparents, aunts and uncles. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, Monday September 9, 2019 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 106 Teller Ave; Broadalbin, NY at 2pm. Cremation will take place at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home.
