OBITUARY PATRICIA MUNSON HOTCHKISS Patricia Munson Hotchkiss (the granddaughter of renown viticulturist, Thomas Volney (TV) Munson, passed on January 20, 2017, at her residence in Christian Science care facility, Wide Horizon, located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She was born March 20, 1922 in the TV Munson home at Denison, Texas, the daughter of Minnie Secoy Munson and William Bell Munson. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Merritt Hotchkiss of Denison in 1987, her daughter Janet Hotchkiss Hill Coyle of Winchester, Virginia in 2014 and her youngest son, Steven Earl Hotchkiss of Mariana, Florida in 2016. Her son Charles William Hotchkiss survives at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She also is survived by four grandchildren: Christopher Hotchkiss of Austin, Texas; Jennifer Hotchkiss Murphy of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Holly Hill Bohan of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Merritt Zachary Hotchkiss of Sidney Australia and nine great grandchildren; Jaxton and Jaylen Hotchkiss, Juliette Vann and Naomi Josephine Hotchkiss, Jenna and Kendall Bohan, James Michael, Erin and Sarah Murphy. Patricia†™s young Hotchkiss family departed Denison for the Dallas, Texas environs in 1949 for career and educational opportunities. Retirement for Patricia and Clyde began in 1981 on Tierra Linda Ranch in Kerrville, Texas. Patricia lived in Austin, Texas for about eight years before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1996. She was a long time member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist Boston, Massachusetts and also a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist Colorado Springs. Patricia will be inurned at a private family service, at Fairview Cemetery, Denison, Texas, on February 11, 2017, joining her late husband and children.
