Robert G. Covey, age 84, formerly of Amsterdam, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home , Gloversville. He had resided at Pineview Commons Adult Home in Johnstown for the past six years. He was born February 16, 1937 in Amsterdam, the son of the late Russell and Edna Burtt Covey. He was employed lastly as a taxi driver in Amsterdam for many years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed pranking and joking with others. Bob and his brothers would see who could outdo the other. He loved to eat and visit many diners in his travels. Bob is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Karen Covey, and three brothers, Roy, Edward and William Covey. Cremation took place at ParkView Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.brbsfuneral.com
