Ronald S. Chase, age 89, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville. He was born December 11, 1931 in Gloversville, the son of the late Tom and Thelma Savage Chase. He served in the US Air Force for 20 years until his retirement in 1971. He later worked at N.A. Taylor from 1974 until he retired in 1993. He and his wife traveled for three years and wintered in Florida for 20 years until his illness. Ron was a member of Foothills United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary L. Crockett Chase; two sons, Michael Chase (Tracie) and Robert Chase (Jean); a sister, Lynne Tower (Steve); six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, William S. Chase and a brother, Tom Chase, Jr. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 am Tuesday, September 14 at Foothills United Methodist Church, 17 Fremont Street, Gloversville where a Memorial Service will follow at 11 am with the Rev. Brad Chesebro officiating. Private interment with Military Honors will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
